Poll automation and the obligatory source code review (update)

When will Comelec provide for the mandated source code review? The law says “promptly.” But the Comelec seems not inclined to give this word its plain meaning.

Here are three links in this connection.

One chides Comelec for stipulating to a provision that in my view contravenes the law in RA 9369.

Another claims that the first is “built on shaky foundations.”  And one side of the partisan comments on that site is, well, partisan (I wanted to say Parmesan, but never mind).

Yet another suggests that Comelec does not intend to release the source code. The author believes the Comelec just wants people “to trust” the machine.

Who is right? Only Nassim Taleb knows.
