This cartoon serves as a reminder to those who write autobiographical “coffee table” books that the readership out there is perhaps more discerning than authors’ self-delusion. Environmentalists should protest that such books are those that “really kill trees.” Somewhere along the line, we should remember that biting economics concept called opportunity cost (aka “the next best thing”). The money spent on printing such books is probably better spent on improving the quality of education in the Philippines!
Besides, think about it enough and know that the autobiographer will put on his Sunday best. How would you then separate the self-serving from the enlightening statements? I could get rich very slowly making salt.
